Joseph founded the Society on a simple conviction: no one in Canada should go without mental‑health support because they can’t afford it. Under his leadership, more than 300 volunteer counsellors — each professionally supervised and held to their province’s standards — have supported over 13,720 cases, in 16+ languages, entirely free of charge.

Our board
Free Counselling Society Canada is guided by a dedicated board. Alongside founder Joseph Wong, our board members are Charlotte Julia Buchan and Lena Wong.
