Hi! I am a Master’s student and Psychotherapy Intern eager to begin in the world of Psychotherapy. Have you been feeling overwhelmed, low, or excessively worried? Are you struggling in your relationships? I first want to commend you for taking this initial step at seeking support. Your vulnerability, resilience, and strength are honorable. I want to work alongside you at finding empowerment, solutions, and desired change in your life. After completing an individual intake, I hope to provide you with the tools to challenge your thinking, regulate your emotions, practice positive coping skills, learn mindfulness, and overall enhance your self-awareness.
I like to collaborate with my clients on an agreed-upon treatment plan, identifying shared goals based on personal need. I like to use CBT and ACT to move beyond problematic thinking, negative self-talk, unhelpful behaviour, and live a more meaningful life. I use solution-focused or strength-based approaches to re-identify internal characteristics you once loved. Together, we can create change.
I value keeping an inclusive, empathetic, nonjudgmental, and safe space to explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. Aside from the painful emotions that brought you here today, I work at helping you identify your strengths and sense of self once more. I am very passionate at helping people ascend to their best selves, whilst providing unique and evidence-based treatment plans.
